Then, on your way to your hotel in the Amazon rainforest, enjoy a “Meeting of the Waters” cruise along the chocolate-colored Rio Negro to its confluence with the yellow-gray Rio Solimões. For four miles, the differently colored bodies of water flow side by side and never mix! Then fly to Rio de Janeiro for a 4-night stay and take in the sights of South America’s largest and most populous city. Ascend Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car and savor spectacular views of Rio de Janeiro while toasting your vacation with a Brazilian cocktail. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the city, including the cathedral and the statue of Christ the Redeemer crowning Corcovado Mountain, and experience a Samba show, where you feel the vitality of this country explode in a colorful extravaganza. Enjoy plenty of free time to relax, explore on your own, or join optional activities and tours. Next, fly to Iguassu Falls to see the magnificent waterfalls and tropical foliage from the Brazilian side. Marvel at this 2-mile-wide torrential downpour with some cataracts as high as 250 feet. Take the Ecological Jungle Train and enjoy a closer perspective on a walking tour of the Argentine side of the Falls. Then fly to Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina. During your 4-night stay in Buenos Aires, tour the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cemetery of the Recoleta, the burial site of Eva Peron. Witness Latin America’s most sensuous dance, the Tango, at an evening excursion. Plus, enjoy a day trip to another South American country—Uruguay. Sail on a catamaran to Colonia de Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage City, and enjoy a guided tour of this charming town with its narrow streets and colonial buildings. After a day of relaxing or touring in Buenos Aires, fly to Bariloche in Patagonia. This alpine resort boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in Argentina. Take a chairlift ride to Cerro Campanario and enjoy the views of surrounding lakes and the Andes mountain peaks. Your journey then takes you on a boat cruise across Lago Nahuel Huapi, a drive through the forests and peaks of the Andes Mountains, and a catamaran cruise across Lago Todos los Santos before reaching Puerto Varas, Chile. Stop in Puerto Montt for a guided tour en route to Santiago, Chile’s capital. Standard Offers and Specials provided by Globus Tours

Discount for young travelers

Share the pleasure of a Globus vacation with your children and grandchildren and take advantage of a 10-percent discount on the land-only price. For eligibility, children must be under 18 years of age on the departure date and must be accompanied by an adult. On escorted vacations we don’t accept children under eight years old because we have found that they are too young to enjoy these vacations.

Pay less for your second vacation

We charge you vacation price for your first vacation in 2008, but for every additional Globus vacation you take in the same year, you pay US$35 under list. Our vacations are designed and scheduled so you can combine them almost any way you want. It’s fun to play the add-a-vacation game yourself or talk to your travel agent.

Triple room reduction

On most Globus vacations you receive a reduction when three people travel together and share the same accommodations. Triple room reductions, when available, are listed on the itinerary pages. A word of caution: Triple rooms usually are no larger than twin rooms and the third bed, if there is one, is often a rollaway put in a twin-bedded room.

Avoid the single room supplement

We do not take reservations on a “share” basis because we have found that strangers rarely enjoy sharing a room for the duration of their vacation. Avoid the single room supplement by traveling with a friend. It’s less expensive and much more fun!
